How Do
Clear Aligners Work?
Clear aligners are a relatively modern orthodontic treatment that uses the same idea as traditional braces, but a very different means to do so. Instead of metal brackets and wires, Dr. Berry will have customized clear, plastic trays designed to snug-ly fit over your arches to apply pressure to your teeth. This will allow them to shift over time to address issues like bite problems, misalignment, and crowding.
Every two or so weeks, you will advanced to a new set of trays that will help continue to apply pressure to guide your teeth into their final positions. You’ll also return to our practice every six to eight weeks for a quick check-in visit with Dr. Berry and to pick up your next series of trays in your treatment. Finally, once the process is complete, Dr. Berry will have a custom retainer (similar to your clear aligners) that you’ll wear to help retain your results!
